«We were looking for a qualified partner for our internal global leadership development program who could work with us to design and implement a customized program. We found that partner in MSSG. Agile and always responsive to our wishes and needs, with a large network of trainers capable of mastering every challenge, our NextGen program has been a complete success – both for the international participants, who were able to achieve lasting professional growth over the program’s 18 months, and for our company.»

Ensuring knowledge transfer and supporting the individual learning process: Through the integration of targeted transfer measures, the acquired knowledge is sustainably applied in practice and integrated into business and leadership success.

The executive development programs at the Management School St.Gallen consist of modules that are thematically aligned and build upon one another. You can customize your program using our proven modules or set your own priorities – with complete flexibility regarding the number, order, duration, and content of the modules. The focus is on an integrative approach to human resource development processes and their integration into the overall strategy, as well as the integration of existing competency models and leadership frameworks where applicable. We support you in the planning, development, and implementation of inhouse training programs, the establishment of an internal leadership academy, or the creation of customized continuing education programs and concepts.

The professional development programs offered by our Management Institute, which has been operating successfully in St.Gallen for over 30 years, are designed for executives at all levels of the organization – from emerging leadership talent to middle management and top management. The programs can be structured to span all levels of the organization or tailored to meet the specific needs of each level. In both cases, the focus is on fostering a consistent knowledge base and a shared understanding of leadership within the company.

The Young Leaders Academy at the Management School St.Gallen was developed specifically to meet the needs of the next generation of leaders. The programs for emerging leaders are designed for new leaders with initial management experience as well as high-potential individuals who will assume leadership roles in the future. The St.Gallen Academy for Leadership Talent offers companies customized development programs to specifically prepare their future leaders for upcoming challenges and the next stage of their careers. Thanks to a modular approach, the programs can be individually tailored to the specific requirements of the company.

We design learning processes with proven St.Gallen quality, focusing on practical application so that the knowledge gained translates directly into practical skills. Together with our clients, we develop a tailored application concept for each St. Gallen Leadership Program, incorporating measures such as coaching, blended learning approaches, learning nuggets, and peer groups. Another key focus is on fostering connections within the organization, for example through cross-functional business projects or mentoring programs. In addition, we promote targeted competency development through individual development goals and plans to offer each leader tailored support so they can reach their full potential.

The St.Gallen Management Model laid the foundation for the approach to systems-oriented management. Based on our core philosophy of a holistic view of the organization, we cover all relevant management and leadership competencies. These include, in particular, corporate governance, team and organizational leadership, transformation and change, organizational development, HR excellence, and self-management. Our other areas of focus include financial management, sales, project management, and international programs. In addition to the proven St.Gallen models, we teach innovative and forward-looking approaches that meet the demands and opportunities of modern leadership.

Our leadership programs are designed as learning journeys and consist of modules with coordinated content. At the heart of our management training is the transfer of knowledge through short, scientifically grounded sessions that can be directly applied in practice.

Learning from one another is just as important as the transfer of theoretical knowledge. That is why we give participants ample time for discussion, networking, and peer consultation.

We believe that learning should be fun – our programs include interactive and engaging elements as well as space for individual reflection to create a dynamic and motivating learning environment.

All events can be conducted as in-person seminars or as virtual training sessions. A combined blended-learning approach is often a suitable option as well.

As a renowned St.Gallen-based institution for leadership and management, we guarantee the highest quality of training: Each program module is led by senior trainers who combine practical expertise with many years of experience as executive trainers. You will have the opportunity to meet the instructors before they begin their sessions. We provide you with expert recommendations and work with you to select the speakers, trainers, and coaches who best align with your corporate culture and objectives. To ensure the program is optimally tailored to your company, the speakers familiarize themselves with your organization in advance and address company-specific challenges and circumstances in a targeted manner.

We recommend conducting an inhouse program for groups of approximately 6-12 participants; for larger groups, a team of two trainers is used. For individual participants or small groups, executive coaching can alternatively be considered as a development measure.

Yes, upon completion of an inhouse executive development program, all participants may request a certificate of completion as proof of the skills they have acquired. For programs lasting eight training days or more, participants may also earn an advanced St.Gallen certification, which leads to the designation of «St.Gallen Leadership & Management Expert» or «St.Gallen Transformation Expert».

All programs are offered in German and English, and most of the training courses are also available in Italian and French. Other languages are available upon request. Our International Leadership Development Programs are distinguished by their integration of intercultural perspectives, cross-border networking, and the targeted development of global leadership skills.
